Interviewer: Our Squirrel reporters scored an interview with THE Lin-Manuel Miranda by pretending to be Disney and lying about a job opportunity. Let’s get right into it. You are known for being an award-winning American actor, producer, director, composer, lyricist, playwright, rapper, and librettist, as well as your roles in Hamilton and In The Heights, also your composed music featured in films like Moana, Encanto, and more. Please tell us, what is your go to coffee order?
DL: Venti white mocha, make it a quad, almond milk steaming extra hot, oh God! Caramel drizzle, give it all you’ve got, whipped cream inside the cup—yeah, make it like a lot.
Interviewer: You have been described as the ultimate diva, how do you plead?
DL: YAASSS, GUILTY!
Interviewer: You have written over 1,000 songs, when will you stop?
DL: Never. I’ve got 600 unreleased demos.
Interviewer: Why did you choose to cast yourself as the lead for musicals you’ve written not once, but twice, and will you be doing this again?
DL: Honestly it just happened like that! And if it happened twice, why not a third time? I’m not in charge of casting, but of course I am always the moment.
Interviewer: You’ve taught the general public so much about American history. Did you graduate college?
DL: I did graduate with a degree in photography!
Interviewer: It took you seven years to write Hamilton, are you a procrastinator?
DL: You know what actually yes. Procrastinators are said to be the most creative, thank you.
Interviewer: When can we expect your next Broadway musical?
DL: At this rate, um, maybe ten years?
Interviewer: I’ve heard that you don’t like reality TV, is it because of Tom Sandoval?
DL: Next question please.
Interviewer: Dream cast member in your next project?
DL: Probably James Cordon.
Interviewer: Is there a chance you could freestyle my voicemail for me?
DL: Absolutely, let's go.
